A traditional Highland producer, Glencadam Distillery has experienced a renaissance since Angus Dundee took over operations in the early 2000s. The Glencadam 10 Year Single Malt is matured entirely in ex-bourbon barrels and is bottled without chill filtration or added color at 46% abv. The nose is delicate and bright, with aromas of apple compote, vanilla, pear, coconut, and lemon custard. On the palate, flavors of citrus fruit, apple, vanilla, and coconut are complimented by oak spice and a touch of grassy dryness. The finish features sweet fruit and a bit of oak spice with a pleasant cereal note underneath.
