This vintage c.1995 dress is elegant yet flirty!

The perfect little black beaded dress...in a soft black polyester, elastic and polyester, silk combo satin. This high-waisted dress is strapless with wide, satin fabric straps and upper bodice with top-stitching details. The skirt is constructed of an elastic liner and four tiers of wide swishy (perfect for swinging and dancing!) ruffles finished with a dotting of subtly sparkling seed beads. Center front of bodice has a lovely tucked/pleated detail. Center back invisible zipper with hook + eye closure. Label reads 'Laundry by Shelli Seagal, size 0'. Condition is near mint! (please note: dress form/mannequin was too large, zipper only closed partially for photographs but is fully functional)

A special note: this dress features a 'Compliance Alliance' special label on the side seam of skirt, signifying that it was made circa 1995, in Los Angeles, California, United States during some labor union crises ("Apparel Industry Official Blasts Self-Regulatory Group: An agreement between the U.S. Labor Department and nine Los Angeles-area garment manufacturers to set up a self-regulatory consortium to root out sweatshops was criticized as a "Band-Aid" approach by a top industry official." - headline from L.A.
