This Itajime Shimmer Duster is lightweight, lovely and an easy, comfortable way to dress up any casual or soirée attire! This itajime teal burst print and textured shimmery white coat is created from a glorious synsilk that wears and washes well.  The fabulous shimmer and shine is seen in the flattering vertical metallic lines along the lapel and sleeve cuffs. A soft v-neck and button front means it works with different necklines and can be styled in a myriad of ways.  Full-length sleeves and V split on sides to fit and flatter many body types.

The word Itajime means "board-clamping" in Japanese. It is a type of shibori from Japan and was introduced to artisans from Gujarat and Rajasthan in the early 20th century.  A tie-dying method which employs pieces of wood clamped together around sections of folded fabric, it's a dye-resist technique.
