Happiness is an emotion. Joy is something greater. We can have joy even when we are sad because we know Jesus. 

Objective: Little ones will learn, “Jesus gives me joy.” 

Peace

Matthew 5:9

God wants us to be peacemakers. He wants us to get along with others as best as we can. 

Objective: Little ones will learn, “Peace means getting along with others.” 

Patience

Isaiah 40:31

Patience isn’t easy for anyone. God can help us be patient and teach us to trust Him.

Objective: Little ones will say, “God can help me be patient.” 

Kindness

Ephesians 4:32

Jesus was kind to everyone He met. He wants us to be kind to others so they can see His kindness in us. 

Objective: Little ones will learn, “I will be kind to others.” 

Goodness

Matthew 5:16

God wants us to do good for others, to help when we can and to give when we can. 

Objective: Little ones will learn, “I will do something good for someone this week.” 

Faithfulness

2 Thessalonians 3:3

Being faithful means being loyal and sticking with something or someone no matter what. God is always faithful to us, even when we are not faithful. God wants us to strive to be faithful to Him at all times.

Objective: Little ones will learn, “I will be faithful to God.” 

Gentleness

Proverbs 15:1

Gentleness is the opposite of getting angry and throwing a fit. Instead of losing our temper, we can count to 10 and remember to be gentle. 

Objective: Little ones will learn, “God can help me be gentle.” 

Self-Control

Psalm 119:11

It takes self-control to control our emotions and resist the urge to do wrong. With God’s help, we can have self-control and do what’s right. 

Objective: Little ones will learn, “God can give me self-control.”
