An exceptional Victorian 9 carat gold ring. This unique ring features a large inky blue colored Sapphire paste stone with a Diamond paste halo. Paste stones were frequently used in antique jewellery; paste is a specially formed highly refractive glass made especially for jewellery which is highly desirable with collectors today. This is an enchanting ring which slips onto the finger so easily. The ring has a very beautifully crafted ring shank, with openwork filigree detail to the sides giving this ring something special at each an every angle! This ring is waiting for her new caretaker.
