Winter 2024, studying the movement and color fragmentation in a blizzard, where the pristine white snow is momentarily broken by vivid, transient forms.

The core idea was to build a monument to the snow itself—not a backdrop, but the subject. The technique is purely subtractive and additive impasto: thick white paste is applied, then repeatedly scraped, furrowed, and layered with broad spatulas and customized combs to generate the deep, wind-carved texture of a vast slope.

The colored skiers are then painted using micro-brushes and highly concentrated pigments, creating small, intentional bursts of warmth and motion against the monumental, cold, textured terrain.

Each figure is a tiny celebration of human bravery on the mountain.
