Be aware that a steel square nut needs to be lubricated once in a while, while brass nuts are self-lubricating. On the other hand, we have found that grown men or smaller people with oversized tools can pull brass apart. Check your nuts to see what class you belong to, and switch to steel if you see cracks in your square nuts.
