Hence Terrorvision's fourth album, in which the freewheeling clatter gives way to guest producers (Edwyn Collins, Utah Saints) and a disregard for the formula that propelled them to success. The acoustic "III Wishes" owes far more to Jonathan Richman than Motley Crue; on "Josephine", Mark Yates' Duane Eddy riff powers a twisting tale of gender confusion--it is, indeed, hard to count just how many skins Terrorvision shed throughout Shaving Peaches. But running through the whole is Tony Wright's excellent storytelling, as evinced here by hit single "Tequila"--which chronicles the singer's disastrous attempt to scale the wall of the Hard Rock Caf\216 in Madrid. Just a lack of pruning then, distinguishes a great 12 track album from this occasionally saggy 15 song set, but it's nothing that can't be remedied without judicious use of the "programme" button. --Peter Paphides Product Description The follow up to 1996's 'Regular Urban Survivors' saw the band head in a more chart oriented pop direction with co-production from Edwyn Collins. Here, the band push their sound further than before, veering away from metal towards a soft rock sound that utilises actual electronic beats.
