Jeanette Farrier King Bedding

Colourful blankets made from soft, quilted, recycled fabric.

Made from old cotton saris which, following a long tradition, women layered and hand-stitched together, giving the cloth a new life.  This style of stitching is known as ‘kantha’.

To look forward, one must look back. John Derian’s new collaboration with designer Jeanette Farrier does just that: 18th century quilts and vintage sari prints plucked from each of their extensive archives have been reimagined for today. Upcycled designs lovingly hand-stitched in India and rendered in lightweight cotton layers. Made in a king size (to better suit the scale of the current century’s beds).
