The key shell comes without transponder.
This key comes with a slot for a small electronic chip called a transponder. Once this key is cut and programmed correctly to your vehicle, when inserted into the ignition, it emits a signal to the vehicle's Engine Control Unit (ECU). The ECU will then recognize the unique code of the transponder, activating the engine. Transponder keys add enhanced security to your vehicle compared to a traditional car key. If the ECU does not recognize the transponder ID, the immobilizer will not allow the key to activate the engine. This layer of protection helps prevent fraudulent key tampering and deters theft.
