Why are hood pins required for this panel?

Carbon fiber hoods require positive locking hardware to keep the panel secure during driving. OEM latches alone are not designed to handle aftermarket panels. Acquire hood pins separately and install them at both corners before your first drive.

How do I prepare carbon fiber for paint or clear coat?

Sand the surface with fine-grit sandpaper and wipe clean with a tack cloth before applying your chosen finish. A UV-protective clear coat is strongly recommended to preserve the weave pattern and protect against sun damage over time.

Will this hood fit with my existing latch and hinges?

This panel uses standard hinge and latch mounting points common to the platform. Verify your existing hinges are in good condition and operate smoothly before installation. If hinges show wear or rust, service or replace them to ensure proper hood alignment and closure.
