FABRIC REQUIREMENTS

This pattern has been designed with a soft 2 way stretch jersey in mind. The unstructured drape lends itself to a comfortable final product. 2 way stretch helps resist the weight of the maxi dress from pulling the downward, but something with good recovery or adequate lightweight would ensure this doesn’t occur as well.

Other lightweight versions of fabrics the team had good results with include slub jersey, french terry, sweater knits, and ribbed knits. The key is to choose a fabric that feels like it would make a good t-shirt.

1m-2.25m is needed for the top. 
2m-3.5m is needed for the dress.
