Meet Nightshade, is a stunning and truly beautiful rich dark blue 1940s zip front dress, which very possibly was worn as a winter evening coat. She is lined in a crepe, probably made from rayon. This is a true rarity and it is so rare I find anything pre-1960s for Pansy. It was so hard to truly capture her beauty due her fabric, but honestly she is pure magic. She has a dagger collar with a zip which runs down her front, but doesn't open fully, two patch pockets at her chest, a nipped in waist and stunning shaped sleeves. Her velvet is soft, thick and plush and in surprisingly good condition for being 80 odd years old. Nightshade would look gorgeous teamed with a belt and could be styled up or down, she is a true rarity, not many of these velvet dresses can be found, and she is absolutely one of a kind. I hope she heads to an amazing home to carry on her life!

The Nightshade has been steamed and can be worn, but due to her age, washing is not recommended at all. Dry clean if you have to, or spot clean if really needed. She is in good vintage condition for her age, she has a few minor signs of wear.

ALL vintage velvet comes with small signs of wear to the pile of the fabric. This is part of the charm.
