Sustainability factors:

Bamboo is an incredibly renewable and versatile crop. Although it's tough like wood, it's actually a type of grass and some species can grow by over a meter a day. It also self-regenerates from its own roots, so it doesn't need to be replanted.  The crop requires very little water and doesn't need to be sprayed with pesticides or fertilizers to grow. 

Merino wool is a natural fiber that is biodegradable and since wool is a naturally obtained material that doesn’t go through chemical processing, it doesn’t contribute to micro-plastic pollution. Plus, it is known to be the most reused and recyclable fiber on the planet. Merino wool is a durable fiber so garments made from this fleece are known to have an extended lifespan. In addition, they don’t need to be washed frequently, resulting in a reduction in water wastage.

Cadeau is hand made by a local women-owned small business. This method of production is environmentally and economically beneficial.
