Sefer Birchas Tov

Sefer Birchas Tov explores the mitzvah of maakeh and notably places a strong emphasis on relevance to modern contexts by addressing common scenarios found in contemporary homes. This includes a comprehensive examination of safety measures pertaining to pits within one's property, such as window wells and swimming pools, as well as specifying the requisite heights for protective railings in various architectural contexts, including porches and upper floors.

Additionally, the sefer offers insights into when and how a bracha should be recited in the course of fulfilling the mitzvah of maakeh.

The sefer includes the Kuntres Siach Maakeh, a compilation of (mostly unpublished) teshuvos from the Sar Hatorah Hagaon Harav Chaim Kanievsky zt”l.
