Just the name "Fearless Threshing Machine" in bold black lettering sold me on this envelope, feeling especially resonant at the moment, and the graphic, with apparently fearless man sandwiched between horses and machine, is pretty great too--plus the just right name of the manufacturer: Minard Harder. With beautiful black ink calligraphy addressing the cover to a M.A Sprice(r?) of Unadilla Forks, NY; postmarked 1880 from Cobbleskill, NY, with a 3 cent George Washington stamp.
6 1/2 x 3 1/2 and in very good condition.
