Operation: Under forward flow, the ball lifts to allow passage; when flow stops or reverses, the ball returns to the seat to help prevent reverse flow.

Installation: Ball check valves may be installed horizontally or vertically, with preferred installation in the vertical position. Install with the flow arrow in the direction of flow. For horizontal installations, orient the clean-out/cover to the top for proper operation and service access.
