Flora is an ancient Roman goddess who originated in pre-Roman Republic Italic peoples. She is a goddess of Spring and of flowers. She is also a goddess of youth and fertility.

As the whole Natural Magick tradition is something of a garden-nut cult, we had wanted for some time to offer Flora her own devotional oil. It wasn't until Flouve absolute became available recently somewhat-affordably that it was possible to hold together a bouquet of the evasive and expensive flower essential oils and absolutes including Rose and Jasmine, of course. Flouve is the distillation of Sweet Vernal Grass, Anthoxanthum odoratum, which is a sweet, dreamy floral fixative scent that makes a bunch of flower scents work together in this heady, romantic formula.

I research legend and lore, and try to use oils of plants that grew in the lands where the deity originated or rules.
