We all know what happened to the poorer communities during the catastrophe that was hurricane Katrina.  This piece, "Waves of Shame", is my response to hearing about those were were saved, those who received aid, those shot on the bridge trying to escape, the aftermath, years later, of communities that are wastelands until developers scoop up land for pennies on the dollar to convert into luxury resorts. Shame.
