What is Spindle Bobbin Crash Protection?

EP Front Spindle Bobbins sit either side of the front forks of the Hypermotard 821 expecting that they will be the first to take impact in the unlikely event of an incident. The innovative design allows the nylon outer to move independently to decrease stress on the motorcycle wheel whilst the strong aluminium should hold the expensive forks and brake calipers away from harm. Fixed through the front wheel by a robust roll-threaded spindle rod.
