One of the most common questions Freerace customers have about the 2026 lineup is why we discontinued the JAG SLS. 

Well, for one thing, the brand-new BLITZ offers even more power than its predecessor, the BLAST. But more importantly, the new generation of FALCON_FIN boards is so much easier to ride. In fact, they don’t require a higher skill level than the JAG.

We achieved this primarily through a sophisticated new rail-shape design. The apex of the edge in front of the front foot straps has been moved upward. This has a huge impact on riding comfort, as everything becomes much smoother. 

Second, we have reduced the overall length, which lowers the nose lift and thus further improves control.

Thanks to the golden rule that “control equals speed,” these boards are now even faster, a fact that becomes particularly clear when compared to the JAG.

Last but not least, SLS technology comes into play. In this process, most of the carbon layers in the D/LAB version are replaced with our exclusive S-GLASS+, making the FALCON_FIN SLS much more supple and even more forgiving in rough conditions. So if you’re not a top-level competitor, this slightly more forgiving construction will ultimately make you a faster sailor.

By switching from the industry-standard semi-custom technology to our exclusive FULL CUSTOM TECHNOLOGY, we were able to reduce the weight by up to 250 grams. As a result, these boards offer the best balance of weight and durability in their class.

AI_BOARD_3D

The curves of the key elements—rocker, outline, and edges—are perfectly coordinated using artificial intelligence to prevent them from working against each other, taking performance to a whole new level.

Higher edges

They make it very easy to maintain the perfect trim.

Completely redesigned rear end

Provides more release and keeps the board on track during acceleration.

Reduced length

Less nose lift and incredible control.

Larger medium board 

The 118 Medium board has been made larger to deliver more power and acceleration.

A less radical RECESSED MAST TRACK AREA than in the D/LAB version.
