This is a classic 50s suit jacket with the wonderful menswear tailoring and construction quality of the era. The fabric is fabulous high quality medium weight bluish gray wool which would be expected from quality suit maker Hart Schaffner & Marx.

Hip length hourglass shaped jacket does up from neck to hip with five 3/4" diameter flat gray buttons as pictured.

Collared with fitted waist, and six front self fabric piped pockets which have never been opened.

Padded shoulders and wrist length sleeves with fold back winged cuffs as pictured.

The jacket and sleeves are completely lined with gray satin.

Suits and jackets were very popular and similar jackets were worn by glamorous actresses including Ava Gardner and other well-dressed women of the era.

SIZING: Tagged a Misses size 14. However, as size designations have changed over the years, I'd say this would best fit a modern size Medium.

CONDITION: Excellent. This is unworn with original paper sleeve tag. There are no stains, holes, rips, tears, snags, fading, odors or other issues to the jacket or lining.

This jacket is wonderful. It's classic and chic and perfect for any occasion.
