The Keysight N9000B CXA is a multi-touch X-Series signal analyzer supplied with a spectrum analyzer measurement application as standard. The base instrument includes a dual-core, high-performance processor, 8 GB of RAM, a removable solid-state drive, a frequency reference, 10 MHz of analysis bandwidth, enhanced phase noise, and the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system in a benchtop configuration with a multi-language user interface. It is a configurable platform: a single base model is tailored through a series of performance options, measurement applications, accessories, and services chosen at order time or added later as license-key and hardware upgrades.
Configured with its optional measurement applications, the platform addresses a broad span of signal-analysis work. The standard 10 MHz analysis bandwidth is useful for most IoT devices and general-purpose radio device measurements, while the optional 25 MHz analysis bandwidth extends coverage to cellular communications, wireless connectivity, and audio/video broadcasting measurements. Licensed applications add one-button measurements for cellular standards including GSM/EDGE, W-CDMA/HSPA+, LTE and LTE-Advanced FDD/TDD, NB-IoT and eMTC, and LTE V2X; for wireless connectivity including WLAN 802.11a/b/g/j/p/n/af/ah and Bluetooth; and for short-range communication and IoT including LoRa, ZigBee (802.15.4), and Z-Wave (G.9959). General-purpose applications cover phase noise, noise figure, analog demodulation, and vector modulation analysis, and a basic precompliance EMI capability performs measurements with CISPR 16-1-1 detectors and bandwidths.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000 square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Customers work directly with our Test Architects to match the right instrument and configuration to the application at hand.
Keysight Technologies traces its roots to Hewlett-Packard, whose test and measurement business was spun off as Agilent Technologies in 1999. That electronic measurement business was then established as Keysight Technologies in 2014, the brand under which this analyzer is produced today.
The CXA X-Series multi-touch signal analyzer is a single configurable platform rather than a fixed lineup of distinct instruments. Buyers tailor one base model through a structured set of choices — maximum frequency range, preamplifier, frequency reference, attenuator, analysis bandwidth, tracking generator, performance, instrument features, operating system, security, rear-panel outputs, measurement applications, and physical configuration.
The most significant choice is the maximum frequency range, which is set at order time and is not upgradeable afterward. Several downstream options — preamplifier coverage, tracking generator coverage, attenuator range, and certain rear-panel and source-control features — depend on which frequency-range tier is selected.
Each frequency-range configuration linked below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing, so you can order the exact new configuration your application requires.
The frequency-range tiers span 9 kHz to 3.0 GHz, 7.5 GHz, 13.6 GHz, and 26.5 GHz. Attenuation also differs by tier: the standard mechanical attenuator covers 0 to 50 dB in 10 dB steps on the 3.0 and 7.5 GHz ranges and 0 to 70 dB on the 13.6 and 26.5 GHz ranges. Preamplifier options are matched to the range — the 100 kHz to 7.5 GHz preamplifier suits the 7.5 GHz tier and above, the 13.6 GHz preamplifier the 13.6 GHz tier and above, and the 26.5 GHz preamplifier the 26.5 GHz tier.
Some features are limited to the lower-frequency configurations: the tracking generators (to 3.0 GHz and to 6.0 GHz), the second IF output, and external source control are compatible only with the 3.0 GHz and/or 7.5 GHz ranges. The comparison table below details how the preamplifier, tracking generator, attenuator, and rear-panel options align with each frequency-range tier.
| Model | Max Frequency | Attenuator Range | Tracking Generator |
|---|---|---|---|
| N9000B | 3.0 GHz | 0 to 50 dB | Optional, to 3.0 GHz (Opt T03) |
Additional differences in specifications beyond the few shown above are not listed here — see each model's full specifications below.

Important: Maximum frequency range is a required selection made at order time and is not upgradeable.
Important: The Noise Figure measurement application (W9069EM0E) requires a preamplifier to meet specifications.
Important: Tracking generators (Opt T03/T06) and the second IF output (Opt CR3) are not compatible with the 13.6 GHz (513) or 26.5 GHz (526) frequency configurations.
Usage tip: the optional External Source Control feature controls selected Keysight EXG, MXG, and PSG signal generators and includes three BNC cables and one cross-over LAN cable.
