The XL421 is a single-phase TRMS current data logger from HT Italia, designed to measure and record current using true-RMS sensing across a range of 2 to 2500 A with 1 A resolution. As a self-contained, battery-powered logging instrument, it captures current readings over time and stores them to internal memory for later download to a PC.

A current data logger records electrical current at set intervals over extended periods, so the measured values can be reviewed and analyzed after the recording session rather than read in real time. The XL421 supports unattended logging through selectable sampling periods and battery operation, with recording autonomy that extends from days to years depending on the chosen sampling period and battery life.
