This Moulin-à-Vent showcases the depth and concentration that comes from 50-year-old vines. After fermentation, it is aged for ten months in old seasoned oak foudres and is bottled unfined and unfiltered. On the nose, there is lots of brambly red fruits - cherries, raspberries and plums, underpinned by some subtle spice and floral notes. The palate is ripe, juicy and elegant, with a good balance between the ripe fruit and the acidity and minerality. This is a serious Beaujolais Cru from a renowned small-scale producer.
