Usage & Safety Tips

• Test Before Departure: Always perform a "dry test" by bridging the gold sensors with a damp cloth to ensure the receiver triggers correctly before leaving the dock.

• Placement: Secure the transmitter to the highest point of a life jacket or the wrist. The goal is for the sensors to hit the water immediately upon immersion.

• Range Limitations: While RF signals travel well, heavy carbon fiber or metal bulkheads can reduce range. Place the receiver in a central location with a relatively clear line of sight to the deck.

• Maintenance: After exposure to saltwater, rinse the transmitter sensors with fresh water and dry them thoroughly to prevent "false alarms" caused by salt-bridge conductivity.
