This is a set of five Warosoku (Japanese candles) made from natural sumac (haze) wax. Beautifully handcrafted by artisans, each candle uses a traditional wick made with washi paper, unique to Warousoku, that burn beautifully. The flame produced by these candles creates the most beautiful color (warm and deep orange). It will add the peaceful atmosphere to your favorite relaxing moments.

Made with a mixture of hemp charcoal powder produced in Miyakojima of Okinawa Prefecture. Hemp has been considered a sacred plant in Japan since ancient times and is used in many rituals to clear heaviness in the air. You can feel the cleansing effects of the hemp charcoal, and this is why this candle is recommended for purification and relaxation.

HAZE is a warosoku (Japanese candle) maker based in Kawagoe, a city in Saitama prefecture. Using the ancient Japanese technique of “Tegake-seiho”, where wax is applied in sequential layers, HAZE's candles are entirely hand-crafted by skilled artisans. Their candles are made with its namesake plant, haze, the fruit of the Japanese wax tree. This natural material creates a powerful flame that produces very little soot. Haze wax is made in Fukuoka and Nagasaki, while the wicks are made in Nara. Following the traditional Japanese style, the production of the wick, wax and final candle is split into 3 parts.
