A raw puerh by any other name would be bad marketing on our part.
This is strong tea. It's comprised of 2017 tea material that we aged loose for a year in Yunnan, before pressing in 2018. When brewed, it offers a hefty amount of upfront bitterness that takes many steeps to fade. The sweetness rises to match, especially in late steeps. Not a tea for beginners, the weak of conviction, or those who want to play it safe in the puerh world.
For those familiar with the raw puerh world, this material has an excellent track record for long-term storing and ageing. It's characterised by what many would consider a 'classic' Menghai profile and has been more loosely compressed than our other raw puerh tea cakes 2017 'Vector' Raw Puerh Tea and 2017 'Rhizome' Raw Puerh Tea.
