The HT8100 is a professional TRMS multimeter paired with a process calibrator, manufactured by HT Italia (HT Instruments). It pairs a 5-digit measuring display—capable of a 50000-count maximum reading with sign, automatic polarity indication, and an “OL” over-range indication—with a source side that generates and supplies controlled current, bringing measurement and calibration capability together in one instrument.

On the measurement side, the HT8100 reads DC and TRMS AC voltage, DC and TRMS AC current, resistance, frequency, continuity, and diodes. On the source side, it generates programmable DC current and supplies loop power with a 250Ω HART communication resistor, supporting process-loop work where a single tool both reads and drives the loop. Operating modes include AUTOTEST for automatic AC/DC detection, AC+DC for measuring a DC component overlapped on an alternating signal, and HFR for AC voltage measurement with an 800Hz cut-off frequency.
