Each elegant fauteuil à la reine features a classic padded medallion back crowned with a finely carved rose crest, gracefully scrolled arms with padded rests, and a serpentine seat framed by a carved apron adorned with delicate floral and foliate motifs that echo the back crest. Original nailhead trim, a typical French detail, adds a refined finishing touch. Raised on turned, tapered, and stop-fluted legs topped with carved patera blocks, these beautiful armchairs embody the refined neoclassical style and exceptional craftsmanship for which Lyon's artisans were celebrated.
