Oudh (Agarwood) Essential Oil.
Oudh is a perfume most desirable in the world--and a perfume most misunderstood. It is manufactured as a resinous heartwood that develops in some trees when they are infected by a type of mould. It is a process spanning years, decades and this is why genuine oudh is extremely expensive and most of the ouds that you will encounter are fake ones. This one isn't.

The Scent
It is also warm and woody, and slightly sweet, a one-note perfume. It differs when it is on the skin or is in a room. People are either attracted to it immediately or it takes several contacts before they understand. In any case, it survives.

Mood & Meditation
In the Middle East, South Asia, and East Asia, Oudh has been centuries old in use in mosques, temples and spiritual practices. It has its reason to keep on appearing there, the odour is something to be rooted and it is hard to articulate and easy to observe. It slows down things. Your seat needs to be touched with drops in a diffuser to meditate or even just think, which most relaxation mixes specifically created to do.
It can also be used in stress and mental exhaustion without the medicinal or spa smell.

As a Perfume
Oudh is a foundation note, that is, it provides other scents with a foundation and makes them stronger. It is an exclusive personal perfume, in itself sprayed on pulse points. It is also a basic component of the attars and traditional roll-ons in case you want to blend it.

How to Use

Diffuser - one or two drops to be used in aromatherapy or meditation.
Topical- apply with a carrier oil, rub around the wrists, neck or chest.
Bath--some warm water.
Blending perfume - use in attars, roll-ons or solid perfumes.
