Tyler Warren is one of the great contemporary surfer/shapers of Southern California. He can shred and shape a wide variety of boards from shortboards to mid lengths to logs. The Girlfriend model is meant to be a forgiving yet functional mid length. It features a wide-point-fore outline with a slightly pointed nose and a pulled in pintail. The rails are pretty full, but are pinched enough to maintain speed in trim. There is also a hard edge tucked in the pin that extends just above the fin box. The bottom contours begin with a flat entry that blends into a mellow spiral vee just above the fin box through the tail. Rocker is very minimal, with a very subtle curve throughout. The Girlfriend is a great option for a one-board quiver, as it can thrive in all kinds of waves from knee high to overhead.
