Description:
A Journey through the Life of Szymanowski Kazuki Sawa and Sawako Kida gave an exceptional performance at "An Evening with Szymanowski" in 2022 to commemorate the 140th anniversary of Szymanowski's birth. This disc features session recordings of works from his early years to his later years, all by Szymanowski. The duo's mature performance of these difficult pieces, which require a high level of technical skill, delicately brings out the charm of the music with rich musical expression. Also included is a solo piano performance by Kida. The Prelude in C-sharp minor is a gem of a piece that Kida has played with great care since its premiere in Japan in 1997, and the new recording on this disc will be a valuable resource.
