A masterful performance with the best cast of the day, both in the lead and supporting roles! Dowell's faithful restoration of the original version of "Swan Lake" choreographed by Petipa/Ivanov. Odette/Odile is danced by Marianela Nunez, who has excellent technique and musicality and exudes a strong positive aura. Soares plays the role of the Prince admirably, with a deep expression of melancholy and a gentlemanly manner. In addition to the deep and delicate theatrical expression that only the Royal can provide, and a supporting cast that is among the best today, the lavish and decadent setting is also impressive. (2)The Royal Ballet 2009/"The Nutcracker" (light version) Miyako Yoshida, who is about to retire from the Royal Ballet, was at her most brilliant in her third production of "The Spirit of the Kelp Sugar". The Prince is popular young Stephen McRae, and many Japanese performers are also in the spotlight! The Nutcracker" is a Christmas classic that has always been beloved. This film is a production by Peter Wright, who has an established reputation for his narrative skills, and is a fun-filled work that is easy for children to understand. The "Spirit of the Sugar Sugar" is played by Miyako Yoshida, in her third video in this role. With her stable technique and charm, she danced with all her might and grace. The "Prince" is performed by Stephen McCray, a young up-and-coming talent who has just been promoted to the position of principal.The 23-year-old actor shows a calm performance and solid technique that belies his age, giving him the air of a prince. Gary Avis has a strong presence in "Drosselmayer," and his nephew, Riccardo Cervera, whose rising popularity in "The Nutcracker" will add excitement to the stage. Although Miyako Yoshida's departure is regrettable, Japanese dancers such as Kenta Kura, Hikaru Kobayashi, Yuhi Sai, Ryoichi Hirano, and Akane Takada are active throughout the performance, which gives us hope for the future of the Royal Ballet. (3)Royal Ballet 2006/"Sleeping Beauty" (with prologue in 3 acts): Kojokar gives a wonderful performance as Aurora, who is awakened from her 100-year sleep by the prince's kiss and grows from a girl to an adult! One of Tchaikovsky's three great ballets, Petipa's masterpiece "The Sleeping Beauty" is loved by all. Princess Aurora is played by the Royal's lovely flower Alina Cojocaru, and the Prince is played by the orthodox and stable Federico Bonelli. Cojocaru has a full range of technique, including a graceful rose adagio, steady steps, and a daring fish dive. Nunez, the goddess of fortune, gives a fine performance as the Lilla nymph, and Japanese dancer Yohei Sasaki shows off his magnificent leaps in the Blue Bird.
