Ensemble Vienna-Berlin
Description:
The Ensemble Wien is a string quartet with two violins, a viola and a double bass, which is unique in today's world. The ensemble, led by the Vienna Philharmonic's first female concertmaster, Danailova, performed Mozart's famous operatic melodies and J. Strauss waltzes and polkas live in Tokyo in 2013. The ensemble easily transcends the boundary between "art music" and "entertainment music," and conveys the joy and charm of music itself. <Ensemble Wien is a popular "unique" ensemble with a double bass instead of a cello. The word "unique" does not mean just a difference in sound, but this form is also "original," as in Mozart's Divertimento and Haydn's early string quartets. The quartet performs a high quality program of captivating pieces by Schubert, Lanner, Strauss and his son, including Vienna Waltzes, Polkas, Lentler, German Dances, Minuets, and arrangements for the Ensemble Wien. The three members, excluding the contrabassist, are top players in the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Their regular concerts at the Brahmssaal of the Musikverein in Vienna are among the most popular, always sold-out performances. He regularly participates in festivals such as the Salzburg Festival, Vienna Art Week, Festival Week, and Berlin Art Week, and gives concerts in major halls in Europe, including Amsterdam, Athens, Cologne, Munich, and Paris, as well as at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in the United States. He has also given concerts at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in the United States. She has performed with world-class singers such as Jose Carreras, Placido Domingo, Barbara Frittoli, and Angelika Kirchschlager, and her performances have been broadcast on TV. His many CD recordings have been released to great acclaim. Camerata Tokyo
