For thousands of years, glass blowing has always been a part of Egypt’s cultural heritage. The earliest recorded glass like material was found in the Dahshur region, which was used for mosaics & beads. Today, Cairo’s glassblowers work with borosilicate glass tubes, melting them in a 1500 degrees Celsius kiln and finally mouth blowing them into a variety of shapes while mixing colors to create one-of-a-kind masterpieces.
