Following the release of "Sengoku JSDF" and the action/mystery masterpiece "Fossil Wilderness", "Tomo yo, Shizukanai Meditate" is now available on 4K Digital Restoration Ultra HD Blu-ray [HDR Version]! The film was graded under the supervision of the cinematographer in order to correctly reproduce the color tones of the time. A new master was created with the aim of restoring the original color design by referring to the timing data of the time, past masters, and films for screening. In the process, the cameraman, related personnel, and others were also checked and adjusted. Director of Photography Takeshi Hamada supervised the grading for this film. ▼ UHD uses a 16-bit new master with HDR grading. While the SDR version (included on Blu-ray) is based on the original, the HDR (High Dynamic Range) version has been graded to take full advantage of the 1,000 nits dynamic range (SDR: 100 nits) while retaining the film look. In order to record the ultimate picture quality, UHD-BD uses a triple-layer disc (100GB). The original trailers and special features are also recorded in 4KHDR format in UHD.
