The Philips S4‑1 is a phased‑array sector cardiac transducer designed for high‑resolution 2D and Doppler imaging in adult and pediatric echocardiography, as well as general abdominal and FAST exams. Operating in the 1–4 MHz range, it provides deep penetration with a narrow footprint for excellent acoustic access between the ribs, making it suitable for transthoracic cardiac views, IVC assessment, and focused emergency scanning. The probe is designed for use with compatible Philips ultrasound systems and supports standard cardiac views (PLAX, PSAX, apical windows) and Doppler hemodynamic evaluation.
