Ammonites are an extinct group of cephalopods that entered the fossil record 400 million years ago. This specimen is a 7.29" polished Cleoniceras fossil from Madagascar.
This particular genus of ammonite had beautiful suture patterns that cross their shells like feathered jigsaw pieces and make fantastic display pieces. A stand and informational card is included with each fossil.
